Answers
1: B. Fungus
LSD is synthesised from the ergot fungus that grows on rye.
Read about ergot on the US Forest Service website
2: A. 30 micrograms to start
A tab will have approximately 120 micrograms on it, but there’s no way for us to tell how strong that acid is. Starting with ¼ of a tab and waiting for an hour will give you an indication of what’s going to happen.
That being said, this also depends on what you’re taking the acid for.
- If you’re taking it to make the world a pretty, sparkly place, ¼ of a tab to start will probably do you, depending on your personal chemistry.
- If you’re taking it to have a good long look at the inner recesses of your soul, you might want a bit more to start with.
3: C. Down
Once you put drugs in your body you can’t get them back out again.
4: B. lysergic acid diethylamide 25

10: E. None of the above
LSD doesn’t have a chemically dependent component, but people can become habituated to taking LSD regularly. This can result in a low mood and irritability, but it’s not considered ‘withdrawal’.

11: B. Yes
You can probably overdose on LSD, but you’d have to try really REALLY hard. The lethal oral dose of LSD is unknown, but it is somewhere between 130 doses (a conservative estimate) up to many thousands of doses. Having that much LSD accidentally in one sitting is…unlikely. Currently no deaths attributed directly to LSD consumption have ever been recorded, globally.
